Panama City Beach Bustles as Spring Season Begins
By Allan Boyles
Spring is in the air! While an occasional cool evening still graces our beaches, the weather is warming and the people are arriving. We are saying our goodbyes to our northern friends and welcoming the hundreds of thousands of annual college Spring Breakers.
How do you like our progress? With the new Hathaway Bridge in place, roadwork is finished so that ever-increasing traffic to our beautiful beaches may reach paradise more efficiently. After all, Panama City Beach ranks 2nd in Florida’s driving destinations!
It’s out with the old and in with the new! You have got to see the progress! Older, smaller motels and shops are making way for new, state of the art super structures. Architectural wonders adorn Panama City Beach. Even with continuous growth, our laid back, friendly style remains unchanged. There are many accommodations available!
Fun and sun is still number one on Panama City Beach! We are Florida’s 2nd largest dive destination and the fishing is fabulous. There are hundreds of professional charters available for fishing, diving and excursions. Many party fishing boats are also available. Fishing licenses are included! If you’re not a diver, but want to experience the underwater world, there are snorkeling excursions and boat rentals available.
Golfing for all! Whether you’re secretly competing with Fred Couples, or you and the family enjoy friendly rivalry on a miniature golf course, we’ve got your number! Panama City Beach, and surrounding areas, offers world-class golf courses. Course designs include Nicklaus, Dye and Fazio, just to name a few.
Now you’re hungry, aren’t you? Panama City Beach has a host of great seafood restaurants! Maybe it’s because we’re so close to the source! Restaurants range from magnificent large facilities, such as The Treasure Ship, to smaller laid-back places like Flamingo Joe’s Bar and Grill (You can get the best Shrimp Sandwich on earth at Flamingo Joe’s), J. Michaels Restaurant and Oyster Bar (Great fresh oysters), The Treasure Ship is a huge complex designed to look like the Golden Hind; a 16th century Spanish Galleon sailed by Sir Francis Drake. The Treasure Ship houses three great restaurants. The Main Dining Room hosts a traditional steak and fresh seafood fare while Hook’s Grille and Grog has a Caribbean flair along with live entertainment and a great bar right by the water. Captain Crabby’s offers all you can eat crab legs! There are many other great restaurants in Panama City Beach.

Panama City Beach has so much more to offer: Movie theaters, Bowling, Water Park, shopping, night clubs, entertainment…too much to cover in a single article! So, please check back for new information and thank you for stopping by http://www.visitpcfla.com/! |
