Blackfin Tuna

The smallest of the runa species, the Blackfin Tuna has an oval shaped body with black backs and yellow coloring on their size.  They are a short-lived species and prefer warm water with temperatures over 68 degrees F.  While they may be small, the Blackfin Tuna is abundant in quantity and are always ready to bite.  They feed on fish and squid, as well as, crustaceans such as shrimp, crab and more.

Fishing Method - Trolling and Drift Fishing

Tackle - 80 to 130 lb class rod with full roller rings, a lever drag multiplier, and 80 to 130 lb nylon line with a 400 to 600 lb nylon leader. Hooks from 10/0 to 12/0

Bait - Use a Kona Head lure for trolling
