Panama City Beach July 4th Independence Day Celebration and Fireworks

Every year, the masses descend on Panama City Beach for July 4th and each year, this community hosts wonderful Independence Day celebration events for the enjoyment of families. July 4th, 2009 will be no exception!

The First Annual Grand Lagoon 4th of July Fireworks Celebration is being hosted by The Treasure Ship, The Boatyard and Captain Anderson’s Restaurants. Get a table by the window or close to the water. Roam the docks and decks; listen to live music at Hook’s Grille and Grog, on The Treasure Ship, or The Boatyard. The Treasure Ship is opening her upper decks with a convenient beverage outlet for kids and adults alike and will be accepting reservations for seating in the Main Dining Room and Hook’s. The Acoustix will be performing! Fireworks will begin just after dark.

Pier Park, Aaron Bessant Park will host the Panama City Beach Municipal Independence Day Celebration. Music and festivities begin at noon and include live entertainment on numerous stages, a golf cart decorating contest, patriotic pet parade, hot dog and wing eating contests, watermelon seed spitting contest, and more. Country music star Mark Chestnut will perform, a patriotic F-15 flyover will occur and of course, fireworks at dark.
